What people are saying about Wondering to Bethlehem…

“In Wondering to Bethlehem, Vanessa gives all of us permission to slow and experience the Christmas story with fresh eyes. We get to ask all the questions we always wanted to ask (or didn’t know we had permission to ask), and unpack all the wonders embedded at the heart of our glorious gospel. Yes, this is a children’s devotional, but it will make the Christmas story come alive for the whole family.”

~Rev. Carolyn Moore

“Pack your bags for a curiosity-filled adventure!
Wondering to Bethlehem will have your kids thinking about aspects of Jesus’ birth story they never knew they were allowed to wonder about before. Teach your kids to think past just the bare facts and truly engage their creative thinking skills to help the familiar story become fresh and alive.”

“I love how simply written, yet thought-provoking,
Wondering to Bethlehem is for children. Using our imaginations to “wonder” through the Christmas story brings renewed excitement and joy to the season. Every family should take the opportunity to do this wonderful devotional together. I have a feeling that parents may get as much, if not more, outof wondering through this wonderful devotion.”

Wondering to Bethlehem encourages kids to identify with the emotions and faith stories of the people involved in the story of the birth of Jesus. This devotional is a great resource for parents to not only lead their kids through Advent but also develop the emotional vocabulary and empathy needed for healthy relationships.”
