If you serve in Children’s Ministry then I know one question you may be thinking about lately…
What am I going to do for Halloween this year?
We are in a pandemic. Large groups may be banned where you live. And there is no way you can safely do your normal Halloween event for the families in your church. So what can I provide to my church families that would be a fun Christian Halloween alternative?
I have been pondering this question myself and am excited to share this new family resource with you!
Treat Street To-Go is a Christian Halloween alternative for families that combines fun, faith, and God’s Word. This resource includes everything a family would need to host their own Treat Street event at their home!
Included in this resource are decorating ideas, music playlist, family devotion (centered on Psalm 119:105), Bible memory verse, 3 games, 3 crafts, and 3 snack ideas.
One of the games included is Halloween Bible Bingo! This resource gives you 6 Halloween Bible Bingo cards along with the Bingo calling cards. Each picture (Bingo square) has a Bible verse attached. Families will open up the Bible, look up the verse, and read together. And if they’ve got that picture and verse they can mark it on their card with a piece of candy corn!
If you would like a FREE download of Halloween Bible Bingo, just subscribe to my blog! Enter your email address in the blue subscription box. Then check your email to confirm your subscription. After you confirm, you will be sent a Welcome to my Blog email that includes a link to a password-protected Family Bible Study Resource Library as well as the password needed to access this printable (along with many others!).
Got more questions about this event? Maybe the below will answer them for you!
Do I include the supplies needed for each family?
Yes, I would (as much as you can). Think about how much you would normally spend on your Halloween event and figure out what you are able to provide.
How do I distribute the Treat Street To-Go box?
One idea is to host a drive-through trick-or-treating. Kids come dressed up in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat from inside their car. Recruit church members to decorate their trunks and pass out candy to kids who drive-through. At the end of the line have a photo booth where kids can jump out of their car and you can snap a picture. Then as they leave give them a Treat Street To-Go box!
How many do I make?
We are making one box per family. We will include enough craft supplies so that each child in the family can do the crafts on their own.
What if I have people other than church families come?
Make extra boxes so that you can be sure to give to those who may hear about your event and stop by to pick one up! I would make extra ones that include crafts for 1 kid, 2 kids, 3 kids, and 4 kids. That way you’ll be sure to have enough on hand for any number of kids that might come through.
When should we do this?
We usually do our regular Halloween event the Sunday before Halloween. You can do the drive-through that weekend or even on Halloween night!
How many copies of this resource do I need to buy?
You only need to buy 1 resource for your church! You can then make as many copies as you need for the families in your church!
Families are looking for alternative ways to celebrate Halloween this year. Times are different and what was once a normal way to celebrate is no longer a safe way. I pray that Treat Street To-Go will be a fantastic Christian Halloween alternative for the families in your church!

Can I have free Sweet Treat Supplies? As I can’t afford to buy these things for the little tots.
